Dear Friends:

The Canadian Landmine Foundation is dedicated to the elimination of anti-personnel mines and the human and economic devastation caused by those mines.

When we created the Foundation in the spring of 1999 we were certain of the need. We were confident in the pride Canadians felt about our country's leadership in the landmine issue. What we could not know with certainty was their willingness to become involved.

Dedicated Canadians from across the country have served on our Board of Directors; others have volunteered their expertise to provide advice and assistance. Canadians from all walks of life have offered generous support with their time, money and belief that this work will lead us to a world where people can walk without fear. They are ready and willing to journey with us for as long as it will take to get the job done. We have begun to make a difference in Afghanistan, Nicaragua, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Mozambique, Vietnam and in Cambodia.

We thank those who are supporting us. If you are not presently supporting us we encourage you to join. We particularly thank the Government of Canada for their continued leadership in this issue.
