RCR, 3rd Battalion Group Project
On October 2nd, 2003 two Canadian soldiers were killed and three others injured in a landmine blast, while on a routine patrol of Afghanistan's capital city Kabul. Sgt. Robert Allan Short and Cpl. Robbie Christopher Beerenfenger died in the blast. Master Cpl. Jason Cory Hamilton, Cpl. Thomas Stirling and Cpl. Cameron Lee Laidlaw were slightly hurt. All five men are members of the Royal Canadian Regiment, 3rd Battalion, based in Petawawa, Ont. This project recognises the service of the 3rd Battalion Group.
